I have been connected with a very important heritage property for some time. They are known for the gardens and are featured heavily in current garden and county magazines. It is fab to see so many folk also deciding to take a tour around the house, which is just as splendid but has been a little overlooked. Possibly because of the limited opening times of previous years. this year we open more days – and the house is getting very well known for offering a superb wedding venue, having two rooms licenced to hold civil wedding ceremonies. The staff are all young and it’s a very slick operation. One of the garden volunteer organisers also does magnificent flower displays that are included in the wedding package. The great hall and wedding room are filled with fantastic displays worthy of a royal wedding. We have the benefit of this when on Sunday room stewarding duty.
